Andrea has lived and tutored in Los Angeles county since 1998. During that time she has earned a degree in physics from Pomona College in Claremont, taught SAT Preparation for the Princeton Review and Ivy West, taught high school science for four years at a preparatory school in West Los Angeles, and helped numerous private students towards their personal success.
Her exposure to a wide array of learning styles and teaching styles as a student, as an intern at the Webb Schools, and as a full-time teacher puts her in a unique position to help you learn in a way that is best for you while also performing to the teacher's expectations.
The region of Los Angeles where Andrea does subject tutoring is central LA spanning from downtown in the east through Hancock Park in the west, Los Feliz in the north, and West Adams in the south. Much of her work occurs in Larchmont Village with Marlborough School students.
She tutors elementary math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus and trigonometry, calculus, introductory physics and introductory chemistry. She also teaches ISEE, SAT and GRE preparation. She often helps students with organizing and time-management skills.
